Role and Responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of technical illustrations
- Work with internal stakeholders to take briefs, assess design needs, and deliver solutions to them by liaising with suppliers and printers
- Prepare high quality, comprehensive design layout using illustrations, icons, photography, and computer-generated imagery
- Collaborate effectively with technical staff
- Analyse and manage existing and potential content
- Create, maintain, and improve the information architecture
- Ensure that documentation is consistent, standardised, and simple to follow
Your Skills and Experience
With a Bachelor's degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Graphic Design, or Visual Communication, you will have:
- Previous industry experience in a product development environment
- Evidence of producing high quality technical documentation in a product development environment preferred
- Knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks (preferred), SolidWorks composer (highly regarded)
- Experience in page layout
- Creative skills and usage of 3D CAD, photographs, drawings

- Project planning and experience delivering outcomes on time and in scope
- Ability to translate data into easily understandable illustrations for customers
- Critical thinker with technical aptitude
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
- Willing to optimise system of work
- Comfortable using hand tools for engineering support
- Proficient in freehand illustrations, especially with vehicle illustrations and vehicle bodies
- Competency in Solidworks, ability to use 3D CAD data to illustrate instruction manual graphics
