The Role
We're looking for a talented Mechanical Engineer to contribute to the creation of new products. You'll be involved in the entire design process, from generating specifications to testing and production. You'll use your expertise in CAD and advanced analysis software to bring innovative ideas to life, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new product designs and specifications
- Create and manage design verification testing plans, testing and reports
- Utilise CAD to design manufacturable parts and drawing packages
- Validate design decisions using advanced analysis software
- Ensure designs adhere to relevant compliance and quality standards
- Collaborate with various teams to improve product quality, reliability and manufacturability
- Liaise with manufacturers and suppliers
Skills and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or similar field
- 3 years' experience in a design/engineering in a product environment
- Proficiency in SolidWorks and Ansys (essential)
- Experience with FEA, Thermal Analysis, Structural Analysis, and Vibration Analysis
- Understanding of development and testing for high-volume manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of production processes including machining, sheet metal and injection moulding
- Excellent 3D CAD modelling and 2D drawing skills
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and a creative mindset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Passion for staying up to date with the latest technologies
- Previous experience in a regulated product environment
