Our client is seeking a junior / graduate engineer with an interest in signal and image processing to join their Print Imaging team. The team performs product-critical functions to optimize the image quality of printed material, including :-
Positioning of individual drops
Micron-accuracy alignment and stitching of images between print zones
Development of analysis tools for product, development and manufacturing application
Advice and support for development and product teams

Duties and Responsibilities:
The purpose of the role is to develop tools and applications in support of the Print Quality function.
Your role would be as part of a small team working on tools and applications in support of the Image Quality function. You would be self-motivated, able to work with minimal supervision and take responsibility for the delivery of self-contained items of work.

Experience & Skills
An interest in signal/image processing, algorithms and maths
An understanding of software development techniques and practices
Software engineering experience, ideally using a language such as C or C++
An understanding of real time software development
Ability to work with and respond quickly to evolving requirements.
Ability to work independently within a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and scientists
Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent
Some background in signal/image processing
A good understanding of software revision control concepts and practices
Experience with one or more scripting languages, preferably Python or Perl
