My client operates an independently run garage located in a small, rural town in Queensland, north west of Brisbane. They're looking for an experienced and reliable Automotive Electrician to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis.
About the job:
In this role you will be installing, maintaining and repairing electrical wiring and electronic components across a diverse range of motor vehicles.
using test equipment to locate electrical and electronic malfunctions
dismantling and removing electrical and electronic assemblies and components
installing electrical equipment and electronic components
connecting power-operated vehicle equipment and accessories to power supply
adjusting engine control systems and timing
testing and replacing defective alternators, generators, voltage regulators and starter motors
repairing and replacing faulty ignition and electrical wiring
replacing defective parts such as fuses, lamps and switches
What skills and experience should you have?
At least 5-8 years' experience working with both light and heavy vehicles
AQF Certificate III, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3) or equivalent overseas qualification
Flexible approach to workload requirements
Ability to work independently
